FREE Community Workshop – Be There Group x City of Gold Coast x Bond University
Join us for this incredible free opportunity brought to you by City of Gold Coast!
Learn how to build a culture of gender equality, inclusion, and respect and explore the important role of bystandersin preventing domestic and family violence.
In partnership with Bond University, The Be There Group will deliver a two-hour workshop tailored for community and sporting groups, focusing on leadership, bystander confidence, and creating safer, more respectful environments.
This training will empower participants to challenge deep-rooted attitudes and behaviours that normalise harm, including gender-based violence, sexual harassment, bullying, and racism.
You’ll walk away equipped with practical tools to be someone who does something, not through confrontation, but through care, curiosity, and community responsibility.
💬 Learn to:
✅ Lead from any role — recognise your influence in your team or club.
✅ Take bystander action — use the Be There framework to respond safely.
✅ Understand respect — explore bullying, harassment, and racism through a legal and cultural lens.
✅ Build supportive accountability — call out behaviour with care and confidence.
✅ Recognise and respond to DFV — including coercive control and prevention strategies.
🫶 Free catering and refreshments provided.
🎓 Community and sporting groups will receive a certificate of completion.
