Logan City Council: A Whole-of-Organisation Commitment

Logan City Council serves one of the fastest growing cities in Queensland a city of more than 400,000 people, with a workforce to match. With approximately 1,700 employees spanning everything from civil engineers and road crews, parks and bushland teams, water and waste technicians, and local law officers, through to librarians, community services workers, sport and recreation staff, venue managers, planners, and corporate teams, this is one of the most diverse workforces we have ever had the privilege of working with.

And that diversity is exactly what made this partnership so significant.

When Logan City Council made the decision to roll out a full day of gender-based violence training across their entire workforce, it wasn't a token gesture. It was a commitment that came from the top, from senior executive leadership and it flowed through every level, every team, and every role in the organisation. From the person behind the counter at the library to the crew laying road in the heat of a Queensland summer. Everyone.

That kind of whole-of-organisation commitment is rare. And it matters enormously. Because the culture of any organisation is only as strong as its least supported member. When everyone receives the same message, delivered with the same care and the same seriousness, something shifts. Not overnight. But it shifts.

What makes us love this partnership even more is what happened next. The workers came back. Not because they had to, because they wanted to. The learning landed, it stayed with them, and when the opportunity came to reinforce and deepen it, they showed up again. That is not a training outcome. That is a culture outcome. And it is exactly what we are here to create.

Logan City Council didn't just invest in a program. They invested in their people, all of them. They sent a message to every single member of their workforce that their safety, their dignity, and their right to work in a respectful environment matters. And they backed that message with action.

This is what leadership looks like. And we are genuinely proud to be part of it.
