We Make Safe Workplaces Real

The Be There Group works with organisations to build good culture, where people feel safe, respected, and connected. One in three Australian workers has experienced harassment, bullying, or discrimination in the past five years, and we help workplaces change that through practical, evidence-informed training and facilitation. Our focus is genuine behaviour change, through the role of the bystander.

Our Reach

Since beginning formal delivery, Be There Group has delivered 303 sessions, reaching an estimated 7,575 people across 54 organisations from some of Australia’s largest employers to regional and community organisations.

Our work takes us across industries, workplaces and communities, including resources and heavy industry, government, healthcare, legal, education and local government. We’ve delivered across Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as internationally.

Importantly, our reach extends well beyond major cities. We work with people in regional and remote communities including Mount Isa, Weipa, Bamaga, Thursday Island, Cooktown, Darwin and Whyalla, taking practical, high-quality and culturally responsive learning to places that can too often miss out.

Our clients include Hastings Deering, Perenti Group, Volvo, Aurizon, DCCEEW, Queensland Health, Logan City Council, Sunshine Coast Council and Origin Energy, among others.

From the boardroom to the frontline, the city to the regions, our purpose remains the same: meet people where they are and give them the skills and confidence to create safer, healthier and more respectful places to work and live.

Our Bystander Movement

Australia's legislative framework has never been stronger. The Respect@Work reforms, the positive duty under the Sex Discrimination Act, updated WHS frameworks addressing psychosocial hazards, and Fair Work protections have collectively raised expectations on employers. But legislation without culture change is compliance without conviction.

The Be There Group exists in the space between what organisations are required to do and what their people actually do. We translate legal obligation into human understanding. We turn bystanders into people who act. We help organisations stop waiting for an incident to respond to, and start building the culture that prevents one from happening.

In 303 sessions, across 54 organisations, in communities from Thursday Island to Perth, that is exactly what we have been doing. And we are only just beginning.

Our Featured Work

The Founders of Be There Group have partnered with Hastings Deering since 2023, supporting the design and delivery of their 24/7 Respect initiative, a whole-of-life approach to eliminating violence, harassment, and discrimination across their 4,000-strong workforce, their homes, and their communities. Ours is not a transactional relationship. Hastings Deering trust us to sit inside their culture, challenge their thinking, and help them build something that lasts.

Be There Group has delivered training with Logan City Council over a number of years, reaching everyone from rangers and field officers to HR teams and executives.

It's rare to see an organisation commit to this work at every level, not just the top floor or the front line, but both. We love their passion for ending violence and harm, and their willingness to put every part of council through the same standard.

The Be There Group have partnered with Volvo Trucks and WA Trucks since 2024, delivering bystander training across Australia. As a Swedish company, Volvo brings something distinct to this work: a genuine openness to learning, a commitment to doing things with integrity, and a culture where kindness and courage are not just values on a wall. They are leading the way, and we are proud to be the team they trust to help them do it.

Our Story

We've developed an integrated approach that connects both, moving organisations from identifying risk to genuinely changing the behaviours that create it.

We’d love to work with you.
