Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is The Be There Group?
The Be There Group is a social impact organisation dedicated to creating safer, more respectful communities and workplaces. We specialise in bystander training, behaviour change programs, and culture-building initiatives that equip people with practical tools to prevent and respond to inequality, harassment, and violence.

2. Who do you work with?
We partner with a wide range of organisations from mining and construction to government, education, health, and sport. Our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each sector and community.

3. What makes The Be There Group different?
We meet people where they’re at. Our approach is not about blame or finger-pointing, it’s about building on the strengths organisations already have, providing evidence-based frameworks, and using real-world examples to create change that lasts.

4. What services do you offer?
We deliver whole-of-organisation programs, face-to-face workshops, online and e-learning options, and all-hours support tools such as the Be There App. Our offerings span from one-off training sessions to long-term culture change programs.

5. How do your programs help workplaces meet their legal obligations?
Our training and frameworks align with Australian workplace health and safety laws, the Positive Duty under the Sex Discrimination Act, and psychosocial risk requirements. This ensures organisations are not only compliant but also actively fostering safer, healthier cultures.

6. What is bystander training?
Bystander training teaches people how to notice and respond when something’s not right – whether it’s disrespectful behaviour, bullying, harassment, or inequality. Our framework gives people confidence to take safe, practical steps to support others and prevent harm.

7. Is your training suitable for leaders and frontline staff?
Yes. We tailor our programs so they are relevant and engaging for everyone from executives and managers to frontline workers, apprentices, and volunteers. Change works best when everyone is involved.

8. Do you provide resources after training?
Absolutely. Participants receive practical tools, reflection prompts, and access to ongoing resources through the Be There App and companion materials, so the learning continues well beyond the session.

9. How do you measure impact?
We use pre- and post-program surveys, evaluation reports, and feedback loops to track confidence, knowledge, and culture shifts. Our evidence-based approach shows measurable improvements in workplace safety, respect, and inclusion. We are currently undergoing an independent evaluation through Bond University, Dr Gaelle Grotto.

10. How can we get started with The Be There Group?
