Empowering Positive Workplaces

  • Empowering Positive Workplaces is our signature bystander training program designed to equip every staff member and leader with the skills to recognise, respond to, and prevent harmful behaviours such as bullying, harassment, racism, sexism, and discrimination.

  • A practical, interactive workshop that gives participants real tools and scripts for safe bystander action, alongside strategies to build cultures of respect and inclusion.

  • Because psychosocial safety is as important as physical safety, workplaces that ignore bullying or harassment face greater risks, lower productivity, and higher costs. By empowering people with knowledge and confidence, we create environments where safety, respect and wellbeing can thrive.

  • Through trauma-informed facilitation, co-delivered workshops, relatable scenarios, and post-training resources, we empower individuals at every level to step up, speak out, and contribute to workplaces that are safe, inclusive and future-ready.

  • The program can be tailored to suit the needs of each workplace, with flexible delivery options ranging from two to four hours.

    • Two-hour workshop: A focused introduction covering personal leadership, the bystander framework, and a call to action.

    • Three-hour workshop: Expands on the core content by exploring diversity, equity, inclusion and respect alongside the bystander framework and personal leadership.

    • Four-hour workshop: A comprehensive session that includes psychosocial legislation and the practical application of the bystander framework, providing participants with a deeper understanding of both compliance and culture change.

Each format concludes with a call to action, ensuring participants leave with clarity and confidence about how they can contribute to a safer, more respectful workplace.

Tone From The Top

  • Tone from the Top – Be the Change is a leadership development program that equips managers and emerging leaders with the insight, skills, and confidence to create safe, respectful, and high-performing workplace cultures. It focuses on the critical role of leadership in setting expectations, modelling behaviour, and embedding psychosocial safety as a core organisational value.

  • The program provides a targeted learning experience for middle managers and leaders who are often promoted for their technical expertise but may not have had formal training in people leadership. Participants explore the impact of unconscious bias, leadership style, and decision-making on the culture they shape. They are given practical frameworks and tools to recognise, prevent, and respond to harmful behaviours such as bullying, harassment and discrimination, while also strengthening their emotional intelligence, adaptive leadership capacity and ability to foster inclusivity.

  • Leaders set the tone. What they walk past, they accept, and their influence directly shapes whether a workplace culture is safe, respectful and productive. Many managers, however, have not been equipped with the skills they need to lead people effectively, leaving them underprepared to handle the challenges of modern workplaces. This program addresses that gap by ensuring leaders understand their role in meeting WHS obligations, addressing psychosocial hazards, and reducing risk to both individuals and organisations. At its core, the program empowers leaders to be catalysts for positive cultural change.

  • The program is delivered as an interactive and conversational workshop, grounded in both evidence and lived experience. Using practical scenarios, case studies and scripts relevant to participants’ industries, the training provides leaders with skills they can immediately apply in real-world situations. A trauma-informed co-facilitation model ensures that every participant feels safe and included in the learning process. The workshops also provide time for reflection and group dialogue, giving leaders the space to think critically about their own practices. Each program includes post-training resources and evaluation to ensure the learning translates into long-term impact.

  • The program is most commonly delivered as a half-day workshop of four hours, which provides participants with a strong foundation of knowledge and tools. For organisations seeking deeper exploration and practice, a full-day format is also available, allowing extended time for role-plays, reflection and coaching. The program can be further customised to meet the unique needs of different industries, leadership levels, and organisational challenges.

Responding To Disclosures

  • Responding to Disclosures is a specialised training program that equips staff and leaders with the confidence and skills to safely and effectively respond when someone discloses experiences of violence, harassment, bullying, or other harmful behaviours. It acknowledges that disclosures can happen in any workplace or community setting, and ensures participants know how to respond with empathy, professionalism, and within the boundaries of their role.

  • The program provides participants with practical tools to recognise and respond appropriately when someone shares an experience of harm. It covers the importance of active listening, trauma-informed responses, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding referral pathways. Participants are guided in how to respond without judgement, avoid common pitfalls such as minimising or problem-solving too quickly, and provide safe and supportive options. By the end of the training, staff and leaders feel prepared to manage disclosures in ways that support the individual while also protecting themselves and their organisation.

  • When someone chooses to disclose an experience of harm, how that disclosure is received can have a lifelong impact. A supportive, respectful response can empower the individual to seek further help and begin healing. A poor response, however, can reinforce shame and silence, leaving them less likely to reach out again. Disclosures are also moments of organisational risk, where mishandling can have legal, reputational, and cultural consequences. This program ensures workplaces and communities are not only compliant with their obligations but also safe, compassionate environments where people feel heard and supported.

  • The training is delivered as a highly interactive and trauma-informed workshop. Using case studies, real-world scenarios, and role-play activities, participants practise applying structured response frameworks to disclosures. Facilitators guide participants through reflective exercises, helping them recognise their own reactions and biases, and provide language they can safely use in challenging conversations. The program emphasises both the human element of support and the organisational processes that ensure disclosures are handled responsibly. Each workshop includes post-training resources and access to referral information to sustain learning beyond the session.

  • The program is typically delivered as a half-day workshop of four hours, providing enough time to unpack the complexity of disclosures while allowing for practical skills development. For workplaces or communities requiring deeper engagement, a full-day format is also available. This extended session includes additional role-plays, leadership components, and organisational process mapping to strengthen internal systems. The training can be tailored to fit the specific context and needs of each organisation.
